In 2008 we are running trips to two
of the greatest wildlife-watching countries on the planet: Costa Rica
and Guyana.
Costa Rica was the original eco-tourism
destination, and is still one of the best. One third of the country
is protected in National Parks and reserves, and the wildlife is spectacular.
Guyana is the only English speaking
country in South America. A country the size of Great Britain, with
only 700,000 people, and filled with great wildlife, including giant
otter, Brazilian tapir, giant anteater and 8 species of primate. Not
forgetting the elusive jaguar - always a hard mammal to find, Guyana
is the best place in the world to see this spotted cat.
